Interfacing Android with Lego Mindstorms

Things Needed

• Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0
• Android phone with touchscreen, android version 2.2 or more and an accelerometer.
• A computer for programming.

Steps to follow

1. Create a google account
2. Sign in with your account at http://www.appinventorbeta.com/
3. Build a robot with NXT 2.0 (lego mindstorms), preferably a driving base for starters
4. Program the app
5. Now you are ready to control your bot

Android Robot apps

After a long time i am typing down a post in this blog. I was in Chennai and came across this organization Robotix Lab Research Academy. They had a course called Droid-o-Botix. It was a course in which NXT robots were to be controlled by android apps created by us. We were creating apps using google's http://www.appinventorbeta.com/ I created a lot of apps and installed them onto my android mobile.

To use my apps you must have the NXT 2.0 retail kit, And android phone with an accelerometer, android version more than 2.2 (FroYo) .
